Abbey Line ‘Steam Dream’?

Next year will mark the 160th anniversary of the Watford to St Albans Abbey branch line, and in celebration the Abbey Flyer Users’ Group is looking to organise steam specials to take place on the weekend of 5th and 6th May 2018.

Line closures August weekends

On Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 August and Saturday 27 & Sunday 28 August, rail replacement buses will operate between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey, and stations will be closed, to allow Network Rail to undertake improvement works along the Abbey Line and on the platforms at Watford Junction and Bricket Wood stations.
