MPs and County Council unite behind Rail for Abbey Line

In a move strongly welcomed by ABFLY, it appears that Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) have dropped their unaffordable and unlikely-to-succeed aspiration for turning the line into part of a Supertram or Guided Bus network, and started working with Network Rail to improve what we already have.

Guided Bus proposals threaten rail link

The Abbey Line is once again facing a threat to its existence as a railway line.

In June, Herts County Council (HCC) updated their Rail Strategy and this was released for public consultation, starting on 10th June and due to close at midnight on 4th August.
